State Meet Information – 2010

2010 statemeet packet (latest copy as of 25 July 2010)

  • At the Golden Marlins Pool (aka “The Splash”) -  3151 Illinois Street, Golden, CO 80401.  Parking Map.

  • Each swimmer may elect 3 individual events plus 2 relays.
  • Friday, July 30th:  Events 1-6 (400 frees); 2010 state warmup schedule = 2:00-2:55pm, Start 3pm
  • Saturday, Ages 12 and under,  2010 State Warmup Schedule = 6:40-7am, lane 1, Starts/Turns 8:20-8:50, Meet Begins 9am
  • Sunday, Ages 13-18, 2010 State Warmup Schedule = 7:20-8am lane 3, Starts/Turns 8:20-8:50, Met Begins 9am
  • 2010 State Timing Schedule (bring own watches) = nothing for Friday; 1 timer only for Saturday from  9-11 am in Lane 1; Sunday = 2 timers in lane 1 + 1 timer in lane 2 from 11-1 pm
  • Tent = 20′ x 20′ max; set up outside of fence (SE of pool) prior to 400′s on Friday.  Please check in with meet manager prior to setting up.
  • Fees:   Individual swims = $3.00 per event,  Relays = $1.25 per swimmer, Pool surcharge = $ 3.00 per swimmer
  • Follow the meet on Twitter:   This year the South Jeffco League will use Twitter as one of the main means of communication for first and last call for heating.  To get heating information on your phone, send “follow southjeffco” to 40404 then follow the prompts.  You will begin receiving messages from the South Jeffco League heading up to the meet and then you will receive heating first and last call messages during the meet.

The League Meet is Upon Us!

Hello all Parents, Swimmers, Volunteers, Parent Board,

The Coaches wish to thank you all for your tireless effort, behind the scenes work, and all the great moments we have shared this 2010 Summer League Swim Season. This weekend is our League Championship meet at Columbine Knolls; we have close to 50 swimmers competing.  Five Parks swimmer check-in is at 7:00 AM and team warm ups are 7:20 – 7:40 AM both Saturday and Sunday in lanes 4-6.  Please let coaches know if you plan to miss warm ups.   Next week the practice schedule for State will be 7:30 am till 9:30 Mon thru Friday, with Friday July 30th being the last workout.  All of us Coaches are really excited to see everyone again at the Banquet Wed July 28th 6 – 8 pm @ the Depot, trophies, medals, an amazing slide show and a chance to again thank everyone in person for all of your outstanding participation on the Five Park Piranha’s summer swim team.

League Championships, July 23-25, 2010 at Columbine Knolls

  • 51st FSA League Championship Packet See links for detailed info and advertising packets 51st FSA League Championship Advertising
  • Friday = 400 free’s; open warm-up 3-3:45; start at 4pm
  • Saturday and Sunday Warmups 7:20-7:40; Opening ceremony 7:50; Meet starts at 8am
  • FLAG ceremony on Saturday only (7:50am)
  • Saturday = Events 7 thru 64 (thru the backstrokes)
  • Sunday = Events 65 thru 110
  • Parking volunteers for Sat/Sun only:   Two people at the CKST parking lot from the 5:30-8:30am and 1 person from 8:30am to finish each day to ensure CKST parking lot is used by people with parking passes.  One person from 5:30-8:30am Saturday at Normandy Elementary lot

  • Timing volunteers: 2 for entire meet (including Friday), all shifts; must provide our own watches
  • Tent drop off  Thursday, July 22, 5-7pm;  tent will be set-up for you in assigned locations. Please note that the tents will be in an unfenced area once they set-up.
  • Fees are $1.25 per individual event including relays.  Checks only; made out to FPP
